Our AGM will take place on Tuesday 27th April, from 7pm till 8:30pm. It will be a virtual meeting, held via video conferencing. If you’d like to attend, please contact us and we will send you a link to allow you to join the meeting.
The agenda will be:
Honorary officers are elected by members of the charity, so there are no votes open to the public. However, everyone is welcome to attend and there will be an opportunity to ask questions or offer comments or suggestions, after the official business is concluded.
We are also inviting nominations for new trustees, so if you are interested in becoming more involved in the Rainbow Gardens, do please get in touch.
The Charity Governance Awards celebrate outstanding governance and trusteeship, of large and small charities across the UK. They share examples of “brilliant boards and transformative trustees”.
Charity boards are shortlisted in different categories, including diversity, digital and improving impact. We’ve been shortlisted in the category of Improving Impact in Small Charities. Small charities in this category have 0-3 members of paid staff.
The winners in each category will be revealed in May, and each winner will take home a trophy and a £5,000 unrestricted grant for the charity.
Needless to say, we are very excited, Check out our profile on the website. And look out for the announcement of winners in May. We are delighted to have been shortlisted. It gives us inspiration to keep learning and keep working, to help people access the benefits of our beautiful garden.
